In recent years, technological advancements have revolutionized various aspects of the healthcare industry, leading to improved patient outcomes, enhanced access to care, and increased efficiency in healthcare systems worldwide. This special issue will explore the cutting-edge advancements in technology that are reshaping the healthcare landscape. We welcome original research, reviews, and case studies that investigate the application of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), big data analytics, wearable sensors, and blockchain in various medical fields.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Healthcare: Exploring the use of AI algorithms for disease diagnosis, treatment optimization, predictive analytics, and personalized medicine.
  • Telemedicine and Remote Patient Monitoring: Examining the role of telehealth platforms, virtual consultations, remote monitoring devices, and digital health applications in expanding access to healthcare services and improving patient engagement.
  • Wearable Devices and Health Sensors: Investigating the integration of wearable technologies, biosensors, and mobile health devices for real-time health monitoring, chronic disease management, and lifestyle interventions.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the submission deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal and will be listed together on the Topical Collection website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract can be sent to the Editorial Office dtra@ukscip.com for announcement on this website.

The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 300 USD. Authors who are unable to cover this cost or those who are invited to submit papers may be eligible for discounts or waivers.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process.
