2025-09-03

We are pleased to announce that an important online meeting was held with our Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Teng Wu, on September 2, 2025. This meeting served as a crucial platform for in-depth discussions regarding the continuous improvement and long-term growth of Prevention and Treatment of Natural Disasters (PTND).

During the meeting, we conducted a comprehensive review of PTND's performance in the first half of 2025. Professor Wu provided valuable suggestions on optimizing the manuscript processing workflow, enhancing communication efficiency among editors, reviewers, and authors, and further elevating the quality of published papers.

We also discussed how to maintain positive and effective interaction with our esteemed editorial board members. Professor Wu emphasized the important role editorial board members play in journal development and proposed initiatives such as regular online meetings. These measures aim to fully leverage their expertise and foster a more collaborative relationship between the journal and its board.

Finally, we discussed organizing an editorial board meeting in the fourth quarter of 2025. This upcoming meeting will further explore the journal's development strategy, gather feedback from board members on journal development, and identify strategies to expand PTND's academic impact, including increasing the visibility of high-quality articles. We anticipate that this meeting will bring new impetus to PTND's development.

PTND remains committed to its mission of promoting high-quality research on natural disaster prevention and treatment, and we will diligently implement the valuable suggestions put forth by the Editor-in-Chief. We will keep all stakeholders updated on the progress of our follow-up work.
