Topical Collection Information:

Dear Colleagues,

The ICTEA conference series was inspired to help provide an opportunity for the professional development of scientists and engineers in the Middle East, including the Gulf region and North Africa. The need for such development persists despite the strong commitment of regional governments to improving undergraduate education and building research capabilities in institutions of higher learning. Topics related to thermal management are welcome to be submitted. The conference website is www.ictea.ca, where researchers can view the topics covered under this Topical Collection.

Manuscript Submission Information:

Please visit the Submissions Guidelines page before submitting a manuscript. Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Manuscripts should be submitted online through the online manuscript submission and editorial system. Additionally, please include a cover letter specifying that the manuscript is intended for the Topical Collection "Selected Papers from the 15th International Conference on Thermal Engineering" when submitting it online. It is required to include a minimum of 50% new content in the journal version of the conference paper to avoid plagiarism. Manuscripts can be submitted until the submission deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal and will be listed together on the Topical Collection website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract can be sent to the Editorial Office neea@ukscip.com for announcement on this website.

The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 300 USD. Authors who are unable to cover this cost or those who are invited to submit papers may be eligible for discounts or waivers.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process.

Published Papers:

This Topical Collection is now open for submission.

Planned Papers:

1. Article Title: New Methanation Reactor by Reciprocating Engine (MeRE)

Abstract: mMethanation, which synthesizes methane from carbon dioxide and hydrogen, has a potential to be an important core technology for realizing a carbon-neutral society. We have proposed a catalyst-free methanation reactor that simulates an internal combustion engine. We call it a Methanation Reciprocating Engine (MeRE). In this study, we conducted a 0-dimensional simulation by a program package, Chemkin-II to investigate its effectiveness and optimal operating conditions.
