Topical Collection Information:

Dear Colleagues,

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the field of education, offering unprecedented opportunities to enhance teaching, learning, assessment, and administration. This Special Issue aims to explore innovative approaches, practical applications, and case studies of AI in educational settings across K-12, higher education, and lifelong learning contexts.

We invite original research, methodological contributions, theoretical analyses, and detailed case studies that provide practical insights into the implementation and impact of AI technologies. Submissions should address real-world applications, challenges, and lessons learned, contributing to both the theoretical understanding and practical advancement of AI in education.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • AI-driven personalized and adaptive learning systems
  • Intelligent tutoring systems and AI-enhanced instruction
  • AI-supported formative and summative assessment
  • Learning analytics and data-informed educational decision-making
  • AI applications for collaborative and remote learning
  • Ethical, social, and privacy considerations in AI implementation
  • Case studies demonstrating practical integration of AI in classrooms, institutions, or educational platforms

This Special Issue seeks to bridge theory and practice, providing educators, researchers, and policymakers with actionable knowledge and evidence-based insights. Contributions demonstrating rigorous qualitative, mixed-methods, or empirical case study approaches are particularly welcome.

Guest Editor: Dr. Hmidi Alaeddine
